Alexa and Roger have been friends of mine ever since I graduated from nursing school. After working with me at my first hospital they packed up their things and started traveling around the United States. We talk about what you can expect from travel nursing and their experiences so far.

In this episode we talk about central venous pressure or CVP. I go over what CVP is as well as how we measure it. I also go into how CVP may be effected and increased or decreased by common events in the ICU. At the end, I touch on CVP waveform interpretation and the possible clinical uses that go along with that.

In this episode, my coworker, Carlo, joins me to talk about how starting off in the ICU was for us. We recap our individual stories and give hints and tips for those wanting to get into ICU nursing. To wrap it up, we touch on how the general public might not necessarily know what nurses do and we explain what we actually do on the job.

In this episode we go over the basics of landing and recovering a patient after they come out from cardiac surgery.
