Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win over the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-97. The Nuggets are now up 3-2 in the series as they look to close out the series on Thursday in Minnesota. Nikola Jokic was the best player on the floor tonight for the 3rd straight game. Jokic had 40 points, 13 assists, and 7 rebounds to go along with 0 turnovers. He becomes the second player in NBA history to record 40 points and 10 plus assists to go along with 0 turnovers. Nikola continues to set records in the NBA on the night he was given his 3rd MVP trophy from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. When Jamal Murray did not have his shot going early in the game Jokic led the way. When Aaron Gordon got in foul trouble early in the 1st quarter it did not matter because Nikola Jokic led the way. That was the common theme tonight when the Nuggets needed anything Nikola Jokic was there as the calming factor. The Nuggets won tonight with their defense as well. The defense they played against Anthony Edwards was the best defense they have played against him all series. Stay tuned for the next episode which will come out Thursday following game 6. Aaron Gordon was near perfect from the field tonight, starting the game 11-11 and missing his last shot of the game, which was a really tough shot over Rudy Gobert. Nikola Jokic was there all night for the Denver Nuggets. He did get in foul trouble mid-way through the 3rd quarter. However, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon stepped up tremendously in those six minutes to help cushion the Nugget's lead and not lose it. The Nuggets entered the 4th quarter up 11 points and Nikola Jokic got Denver off to a great start in the 4th. The bench unit for the Nuggets tonight was awesome. Justin Holiday, Christian Braun, and Reggie Jackson all contributed in a positive manner offensively tonight. The Nuggets were about perfect tonight beyond their defense on Anthony Edwards. Edwards has reminded Ethan of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant's performances against the Nuggets in the playoffs last year, where whatever you show him defensively, he scores. The Nuggets defensive adjustments have led to their success in the past two games.
