A true story of hardships endured and hardships overcome, Laurens journey is nothing short of inspiring and captivating.
We discuss her life from growing up in Wellington, an unexpected boat ride to America, being a single teenage mother working in the sex industry through to her decision to re-educate herself and become a doctor. She talks about her long tenured career as a GP and her heart breaking injury that led her back to her passion for writing. She is now releasing her first novel 'Mila and the Bone Man' this month and we couldnt be more excited for her!

Had the amazing opportunity to sit down with thespian extraordinaire Alan Palmer is next in the hot seat!

A professional actor with decades of experience, there is little this man hasn't done. Holding a diploma in professional acting from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he has had and extensive career and has performed in the famous West End, National UK tours, TV, Film and his fair share of lead roles. Lets not forget that he is the founder of Northland Youth Theatre back in 1984!

Alan has relocated to Whangarei back 2021 he directed the Whangarei Theatre Company performance of West Side Story. He is now working with Improv Mob: TheatreSports in Whangarei and planning for the Arts for Ukraine Variety Show this September so make sure you check it out!

Janinka has extensively taught drama for a number of years now, in primary, secondary and tertiary classrooms. She is widely respected in both New Zealand and internationally for her explorations into the blending of theatre and education and how they can alternative means of learning.
Janinka has such a huge depth of knowledge in her craft and she is such a lovely person to sit down and talk with. She has some truly amazing stories to share as part of her journey as an artist, that its hard not to be enthralled by them.
