Frédéric Blainmont - In Conversation
Nordic Art Agency Podcast
07/08/21 • 32 min
This episode features Eric Grech as the voice of French figurative artist Frédéric Blainmont. It is the first time we have experimented with our podcast guest being represented as an actor and the whole experience was quite interesting!
Frédéric Blainmont is an observer of the everyday characters who are found in the banalest of situations. Anonymous figures emerged through his painting as he remains curious about his contemporaries.
His paintings will allow you to leisurely criticise the supposed delinquencies, flaws, and inconsistencies found in society. In contrast, the paintings feel smooth, almost delicately and restfully executed. The subdued pastel palettes, plain backgrounds, and monochromatic play make the figures almost feel poetic.
Frédéric paintings are profiles of accuracy, with a subtle dusting of condemnation. He captures men and women; exploring our relationships with bodies, with food, and the unavoidable issue of excess and overconsumption.
Find Frédéric Blainmont on Instagram and on the @nordicartagencypodcast where we have featured several of the works discussed in the podcast.
We are delighted to represent Frédéric Blainmont exclusively at the Nordic Art Agency and look forward to exhibiting a series of images at the Nordic Art Agency in our exhibition Interior Souls launching at the end of August 2021.

We are all about supporting fresh, talented, international female artists at the Nordic Art Agency and Molly is an exciting artist to watch.
In the podcast, Molly discussed the historical and nostalgic utopia depictions explored in her work as she gives new life to images uncovered in old black and white photographs discovered in flea markets or antique fairs. Rituals and ceremonies, costume and theatre also play a role in her striking muted pastel-painted canvases.

Chelsea Davine - In Conversation
Nordic Art Agency Podcast
04/23/20 • 28 min
Chelsea Davine is a British abstract artist who, over her twenty-year career, has created a mixed media painting practise which is a pure reflection of nature, balance and light. She finds inspiration from the coast, the sea, the lines that criss-cross the landscape and mountainscapes.
As an artist, she is passionate about the material she obsesses over whether it be metal, oil, gold leaf or linen and during our conversation she explores how her artist practice has changed during the lockdown confinement in Barcelona, where her family and studio are based.
The art market is currently in unchartered territory as we record this podcast and it's fascinating to hear Chelsea Davine reflections, and in some ways, the much-needed regression and stillness that has occurred in her life as an artist, as all of a sudden everything has been simplified.
We also invite Chelsea Davine to discuss the works which will be exhibited at HANSA LOVES ART, our forthcoming Art Pop Up in Malmö which opens on Wednesday, May 20th.
You can check out Chelsea Davine on Instagram and on her website and over on her artist's page at the Nordic Art Agency.
