Think Happy Thoughts! An Hour’s Meditation to Put the Hearts and Minds of Believers at Rest
01/01/25 • 58 min
This podcast will aid Christians in practicing the Heavenly Father's instructions to “Be still and know" that He is God. (Psalm 46:10) by helping God's children to rest their hearts and minds in the very real beauty and blessings of God.
This Biblical form of guided meditation offers help when negative thoughts are keeping you from falling asleep, or if, during your waking hours, you are finding your mind in distress and troubled over circumstances you’ve already laid down in prayer before the throne of God.
Cindy offers in this podcast a "reality check" by naming, one by one, some lovely realities God has gifted us that when recalled, can help us align our hearts, minds, and spirits with Jesus' instructions to "let not our hearts be troubled" (John 14:1)
Similar to her popular podcast, “Counting Sheep: A Podcast About Nature to Help Quiet Your Mind Before Sleep”. This podcast is intended to be one you could easily fall asleep to. Alternatively, she invites daytime listeners to close their eyes and with great detail, visualize in their mind's eye being at the foot of our merciful Heavenly Father’s glorious throne --- that eternal place that is even more real than this temporary planet we are inhabiting only for a little while.
To help you set your mind on things above, the first 15 minutes or so of this podcast is composed of some practical information, followed by the simple reading of some Bible verses that Christians often find the most comforting since God's truths are the only real foundation for genuine peace. In the middle portion of the podcast, Cindy transitions to listing some of the pristine qualities within the character of our God mentioned in scripture that are at the root of His perfection and thus His ability to care for those who love Him.
And finally, the remainder of the podcast is a series of positive, uplifting assurances, in which faithful believers can rest their hearts and find much comfort.
