No to Normal

No to Normal

Danielle Renee

Welcome to the podcast that gives you permission to say no. No to boring. No to putting off your dreams. No to a job you hate. No to old habits that no longer serve you. No to imposter syndrome. No to normal.
I’m your host, Danielle Renee, and I’ve spent the past 10 years trying new jobs, starting my own businesses, and moving across the country all in an attempt to build a life that doesn’t give the Sunday Scaries (if you know, you know). With this show, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite ventures, like when I converted a school bus into a mobile gift shop, and when I discovered the wonderful world of seasonal work by googling “jobs that pay your rent.”
I’ll also have weekly interviews with creatives, industry-disruptors, and adventurous souls who said “no” to the normal 9-5 life, and are defining happiness and success on their own terms. Basically, I started a podcast so I’d have an excuse to chat with some of the coolest humans I’ve ever met, and I’m excited to invite you along for the ride!

In this episode, I’m sharing the 6 best tips for tackling the discomfort that comes with public content creation, so you can confidently step in front of the camera no matter where you are. I’m also sharing several of my own anecdotes from filming in public to remind you that you’re not alone.

Well, in today’s episode I’m talking with Caroline Cardamone, known as Inn Keeper Caroline on social meda, about what it’s really like to be a 25-year old innkeeper in a tourist town, how the job differs from the fictional portrayals, and why she thinks so many people online have connected to her day in the life of an innkeeper videos.
If you’ve ever dreamed of quitting your stressful job in exchange for a calm life working in a beautiful b&b, then today’s conversation is for you.

Before I started this podcast, before I moved to Lake Tahoe, before I did Instagram coaching, I got the crazy idea in my head to buy a mini school bus and convert into a mobile gift shop.
In today’s episode I’m answering the biggest questions about running a mobile shop including how I converted the bus, where I parked the bus, where I found inventory, and the biggest lessons I learned from having this little business.
If you dream of getting into retail but you don’t want to make the big investment of renting a brick-and-mortar location, then a mobile business might just be the perfect solution for you!
