We are back with another Type Interview!
Kristen is a Type 9. She has done her Enneagram work, and she has so much wisdom to share!
She shares about the following things:
Waking up to her anger and how that has helped her connect with God.
The sturdy comfort of coming home to her body, and discovering what's true there.
How that place of truth and integrity has helped her connect with the power of her most energetic self.
How the church colluded with her ego in a way that kept her meek and small.
How staying with conflict has helped her invest in real relationship and problem solving.

A month ago, I started meeting with a new enneagram coach. She starts all of her clients with a very thorough typing session. So, as standard proceedure, she did a two hour typing session with me.
At the end of the session she said, "I don't think you're a Type 7." ...insert internal scream....
(And.. she was right.)

Today our guest is Aubrey Chaves.
Aubrey is an Enneagram 2.
Just as a refresher, The Enneagram Two is called the Helper. They need to be needed and liked. They are naturally helpful and accommodating, but struggle with feeling unwanted, unworthy or unloved.

Aubrey’s enneagram journey coincided with a painful crisis of faith.

She talks about deconstructing her ideas about a God who is constantly disappointed with her, and rediscovering a God that loves her unconditionally.
Aubrey talks about shame getting mixed into her faith, death of the false self, and discovering God through really truly knowing herself.

She also gives really useful advice for 2s struggling to figure out what is their to do.

Also, Aubrey and her husband Tim are cohosts for the podcast Faith Matters. Their podcast has been a really valuable resource for me for years now, so definitely check it out.

Thanks so much for listening, and we hope you enjoy his episode.

We have another interview for you today with my friend, Brenna Kimber.
Brenna is a six on the enneagram.
As a quick reminder an Enneagram six is called the loyal skeptic. They are responsible, group minded, and very loyal. They also tend to struggle with trusting themselves and other people, and this can cause some anxiety and hyper vigilance, and thinking of in terms of worst case scenarios.

Brenna is someone who has used the enneagram for deep inner work, and I’m so excited for you to learn from her today.

She talks about her search for safety, her pattern of externalizing authority, and learning to surrender and live her life without a plan and from a more embodied place.

As always, thanks for listening, and we hope you enjoy this episode.
