Linda Combs - From The Schoolhouse To The White House Part 1
Today we are talking with Dr. Linda Combs. She has served in senior leadership roles in the administrations of president Ronald Reagan, president George HW, Bush and president George W Bush. She had five presidential appointments, which means she has survived five Senate confirmation hearings.
She served as a Chief Financial Officer for the US Department of Transportation and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Additionally, she was confirmed for senior leadership roles in the Department of Education, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and the US Department of the Treasury. She recently retired after serving eight years as Controller for the State of North Carolina
She took her BS and Master's Degrees from Appalachia State University, and her doctorate from Virginia Tech.
