Episode 189: Finding Your True Purpose With Joey Chandler
08/27/20 • 35 min
About Joey...
Who I am is about people being great.
What that means to me is:
- Knowing who you are.
- Having a dream.
- Making things happen.
- Having fun with friends and family.
- And helping others.
I'm a photographer and video producer of tribute videos and it was actually my video work that laid the foundation for my approach to purpose. I've spent thousands of hours hearing people say nice things about other people and all that goodness eventually wore off on me.
I've also been a coach/trainer in various forms for many years. I love learning new things and helping others do the same. I've always seem to bring training into my job whether that be by bringing in expert or fostering conversations between staff. I've lead large multi-day seminars and even met my wife in a course.
I live in northern California with my wife and son. I love skiing and my big audacious goal is to end racism in my lifetime. I figure at a fundamental level, it's hard to see the greatness in each other if one is experiencing racism or being racist so that gets in the way of my purpose (in addition to being a bad thing). I believe the more people that are owning their purpose, the greater the chance we have of making that happen.
So that's why I'm doing all this purpose work. I thinking it will make a difference in the world. And it's really fun to see someone light up and realize that they can do amazing things just by being more of themselves.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Have a great day,
Joey
