My guest today, Bryant Allen, his story, his song, his journey, really him as a person, is nothing short of amazing. I met Bryant through a mutual friend, Richard Casper, and had to have him on the show. Bryant was actually hit by a car while crossing the street a couple years ago. Since then it has really affected his memory and other major parts of his life. It hasn’t stopped him and he recently wrote and recorded the song “Chasin' Memories” which we featured on the show that is absolutely phenomenal. Can’t wait for you all to hear this! “Chasin' Memories” will be available on iTunes for preorder March 19th and then available for purchase March 23rd.
In my 15 years living in Nashville, I have been fortunate to watch a lot of friends like Kip Moore, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, A Thousand Horses, Michael Ray and more, start their journeys with a back pack and a dream and end up being a huge success in country music.
Yet the most frustrating part about being a friend and a fan to not just artist, but writers like Corey Crowder, Justin Weaver, Rick Huckaby, Westin Davis and many more, has been hearing amazing songs that will never leave the Nashville city limits.
"Nashville Hits Collecting Dust" is a casual, entertaining hangout with friends telling stories, giving valuable advice, and playing great songs that otherwise would still be sitting in a database.
My guest are pure entrepreneurs that are living out their dream of being artist and full time songwriters."

With everything on the table and up for discussion, there is no holding back during this hour with Ruthie Collins. Raised on a farm in Fredonia, NY, Collins fell in love with country music at a young age. Her mother, a church organist, celebrated her natural affinity and introduced her to a variety of instruments, starting with piano and the violin. As a promising vocalist and multi-instrumentalist looking for a bigger pond, she left home to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston.
From her flea market lace curtains to her obsession with shiplap, she forges her own path, marrying DIY projects and vintage frocks with modern country music. Ruthie’s sound mirrors her lifestyle – an approach that celebrates the work of legendary women like Dolly and Emmy Lou in a contemporary way that fits seamlessly into your Instagram feed.

From the time he was eleven years old, Andy Velo knew music was IT for him, but he didn’t make the move from Georgia to Nashville cold turkey. Andy has worked for Apple, played in a cover band, been a football coach and even had a stunt role as a football player in movies like “We are Marshall” and “The Blind Side.” But after playing side stage at a Brad Paisley concert in 2009, He began making weekly trips to Nashville to make contacts and learn the business, even earning brand sponsorship with Jim Bean before moving to Nashville full-time in 2012.
Now, Andy is releasing a new song each month from his upcoming album “North Georgia Pines.” In this episode of Nashville Hits Collecting Dust, He brings you the title track,” North Georgia Pines,” an honest song that gives you that feeling of home. Check it out!
