After first trying to put together the clues they've assembled from their previous missions, Max & Molly are sent to Wales in 1971 to stop the Trolls from causing trouble on Decimal Day.
This is the day the UK changed their money system to units of 10. Well, sure enough, the Trolls ARE up to no good and are attempting to put counterfeit coins into circulation. It's up to the Problem Solvers to use Math to discover the fake coins and save Decimal Day.

Max & Molly decipher the number and letter clues, left behind by the Trolls, that they've collected from their last 10 missions. They realize they probably add up to a date. But which is the day and which is the year? To try and find out, they begin entering various combinations of dates into their time machine to see if any lead to a problem for them to solve. While they encounter some interesting people and places (including the distant future), they don't find any problems. Which of course, is a problem.
