David's Sexual Sin Exposed 4-11
My Weekly Milk - House of Prayer for All Nations
01/28/22 • 34 min
David was a man after God’s own heart for the Lord said: the LORD has sought for Himself a
man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be captain over His people
David was also a man who loved justice and righteousness like God; for the foundation of God’s throne is righteousness and justice . The Lord loves righteousness and Justice. So when Nathan told David the story of the ewe lamb of the poor man that the rich man took, the nature of God in him for justice was stirred up, he wanted to avenge the poor man because he had been defrauded. David committed that sexual immorality in the night and did it secretly, he thought only a few people were aware of that sexual immorality that he committed . For in the story of David's adultery, it was at evening and David sent messengers to take Bathsheba. David was sure that his messenger would keep it secret. , people often think that God does not see what is done in the dark! however it does not matter to God darkness or light
are the same to God. David later said: Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea; even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me. Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You. So you see, brothers and sisters you and I cannot hide from the presence of the Lord or from His Spirit.

This study is to refresh our knowledge concerning the bases or foundations of prayer. Prayer cannot be taught, but at the same time must be taught. Our mind-sets must be changed or renewed when it comes to prayer. It is just a conversation that one has with his Heavenly Father, with his elder brother Jesus and with his Helper the Holy Spirit. It is a time of communion or fellowship with the Godhead. The fellowship that we have with the
Godhead, we want everybody to have; it is not peculiar to a few but available to all (1John 1:3).
Just like we needed to be taught the foundation blocks of numeracy and literacy, so that we will be able to relate with the world around us and be independent, not needing anybody to talk for us because we cannot express our thoughts, or to do the shopping and sign contracts for us, because we cannot count or do simple arithmetic operations. Likewise we also need to be taught the foundation blocks of prayer, so that we will be able to relate with our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit without any intermediary or middleman.

Power of Confession 5-6

In the bible we find the Greek word homologeo which is a combination of two Greek words homou [at the same place, at the same time, having a close association (together or togetherness)] and logos[something said, something thought, communication, speech, frame, works].
So confession is saying the same thing God and His word are saying for a particular situation; thinking the same thing God and his word are thinking about a particular situation, having the same frame of mind that Christ has. Let this mind be in you which also was in Christ Jesus
(Philippians 2:5). It is doing the same work Jesus is doing. It is being at the same place where God instructed us to be. It is being one with God: what He says is what we say, what he does is what we do, where He goes is where we go.
As born again Christians our life is a life of confession, whether we have realized it or not we have been confessing. Let us apply that confession in specific areas.

Return Journey Gilgal to Jordan East 2 of 3

We all have to board the train at Gilgal; it is the beginning of our journey as believers. One cannot avoid Gilgal train station. What is so special with Gilgal? Gilgal means the rolling away, for the Lord had rolled away the reproach of Egypt. In Joshua 5, we read the account of the children of Israel when they came in the promise land. God had already said that the land was theirs, although they had conquered no city yet. But God told them to stop at Gilgal before doing anything. At Gilgal, God asked Joshua to circumcise all the people of Israel. For their fathers, who were circumcised before they came out of Egypt, had all died in the wilderness during the forty years they spent wandering. All those who were born in the wilderness were not circumcised.
The circumcision was the token or an indication that God has imputed His righteousness unto them; for the circumcision is not of the flesh but of the heart (Romans 2:28-29). God gives us a new heart and puts a new spirit within us; He takes away our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). This generation spent time in the wilderness; they ate manna, the bread from heaven, with their fathers; they drank from the Rock that followed them, which was Christ. Yet at Gilgal, God instructed Joshua to circumcise all of them.
Many people in our days are like that generation which crossed with Joshua. We have seen our fathers or parents serving the Lord. Our parents were born again believers, but we just followed the motion, we went to church because our parents brought us to church. We had no choice but to obey our parents. We partook of the bread and wine, done in remembrance of Jesus. But we were not born again, circumcised of the heart; for God had not imputed his righteousness unto us. We were just religious; church was our social club where we met our friends and people of the same group of interest. But we were not born again.

Niether Do I Condemn You

Many of us can relate to the story of that woman caught in the very act of adultery or any other sin. Even well meaning, born again believers miss the mark
sometimes. We ask ourselves these questions will Jesus forgive me or will he condemn me.
Should I hide my sins from God? Maybe it is better for me to run away from God, for He is
so holy and cannot stand sin and sinful people? These are legitimate questions which
require answers. What is the opinion of Jesus on this matter of sin?
