MVP's WTF? Paranormal podcast is a different type of paranormal podcast. We cover all things paranormal: ghosts, UFOs, cryptozoology, demons, paranormal TV, paranormal technology, phenomenology, and even the weirdos in the paranormal (including us). And we have fun while we do it.
We consider all things and use in-depth research, critical thinking, experience, and of course, common sense, as we formulate our opinions on the topics. We're raw and uncensored and have a completely inappropriate sense of humor. We're disgruntled military vets...what do you expect?
So grab an adult beverage, or diet coke for our calorie-conscious listeners, sit back, and enjoy. Word of warning: we use foul language. Another word of warning: Did we mention how inappropriate we can be? Last word of warning: Our first few seasons started off rough but we figured it all out as the seasons progressed. So stick with us and feel free to agree or disagree, just have fun and get enlightened!

You probably thought the Mothman sightings ended back in 1966 or 1967 when the alleged winged creature was claimed to have been seen in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The last mass-reported sightings of the Mothman ended following the Silver Bridge Collapse, which claimed the lives of 46 people. However, it seems to have resurfaced (ALLEGEDLY), with more recent sightings in Ohio and Chicago and apparently, the witnesses have pictures. Well, we have questions! 05/02/24 • 38 min

We're back and jumping right into our season on Cryptids! We figured we'd get the big guy out of the way for our first episode: Yup, we're talking about Bigfoot! How could we not? He is, after all, the Hide and Seek Champion of the World! However, this time, we decided to include some audio that claims to contain noises from Bigfoot (Bigfeet?) in the forest. We also talk about where the legend originated from and the most recent sighting from a train. We've included links below to the audio clips, video footage we discuss in this episode, and some additional reading.

Today, let's talk about the Mexican Aliens. No, we're not talking about immigration but the actual alien bodies (allegedly) that were presented to the Mexican government. A very tardy, but fascinating nonetheless, WarDeadPool joins us in our discussion. We not only dive into these alleged extraterrestrials but also Project Blue Beam and explore the idea of aliens being fallen angels.

MVP's WTF? Paranormal - The Dyatlov Pass Incident: Solved or Cover-Up? S7 E2
play

10/19/23 • 43 min

Glad you stuck with us. We're delving into the allegedly solved mystery of the Dyatlov Pass incident of 1959. Was it a Yeti? Was it what Paul refers to as a "Slabalanche"? Was it poison? We take it one step further, however, as we uncovered a similar incident that happened in 1993 in the Khamar Daban mountain range. As always, we've linked some additional information regarding both incidents, along with an amazing website, Dyatlovpass.com, which has maps, copies of the diaries, the autopsy reports and photos, and a treasure trove of additional documentation that you definitely want to review. After listening, ask yourself: Do you think the Russians actually solved this mystery, or was it a cover-up of something more sinister? Was it a curse, yeti, or aliens? Hmmmmm.....

We're starting this season out with an interview with a witch and she's awesome! BJ Hodges is our guest tonight and well, we had questions! BJ has been practicing "witchcraft" for 20 years and we were very surprised at what we learned from her. She was very transparent about her beliefs and practices and we're very appreciative of her time. Now, she did say that not all witches practice the same. Nonetheless, we had our eyes opened by what she shared. If you have comments or questions for BJ after listening to this episode, hit us up on our website, DM us on one of our social media sites, or shoot us an email! If you're someone who practices witchcraft differently and would also like to share, we'd love to have you on the show as well!
You ready? Let's do this!

Welp, folks! Here it is! The final episode of Season 6 and part 2 of the Lindley Street Haunting, aka Bridgeport Poltergeist, aka The Weekend From Hell, aka Not a Good AirBnB. If you didn't listen to part 1, stop now and listen to our last episode first, otherwise, you'll be lost in the sauce as we pick up right where we left off.
Again, thank you to author William J. Hall, whose book The World's Most Haunted House: The True Story of The Bridgeport Poltergeist on Lindley Street, contained invaluable insight and research on this topic. His book also contains copies of the actual police reports, interviews of the city officials, officers, and firefighters involved, and other rare documents. You can find this book on Amazon and pretty much in any bookstore. It is definitely worth the read.

It took us a while, but we finally finished this episode! Sorry for the long wait! This is an interesting case from the Warrens. There have been many claims about people seeing a lady dressed in white in Union Cemetery. Did the Warren's actually capture an woman apparition on film? Who was the woman they claim is in the video? We also ask some other important questions about ghosts and discuss the ethics of investigating graveyards and cemeteries.
So you ready? Let's do this!

Yes, you read that right: We are talking about the Warren's werewolf case and you might be a little surprised at what we learned. Some of us actually learned something new with the research we uncovered, not just about Bill Ramsey, but also about the medical condition, clinical lycanthropy. Yup... it's an actual thing. Clinical lycanthropy is a rare psychiatric condition which involves a delusion that the sufferer is transforming or has transformed into an animal. So buckle up, Buttercup because we're about to take you on a werewolf ride!

Chris finally opens up about the current drama between himself and ghost hunter, Kalani Smith, which is spilling out all over social media.
We also get a little more insight into Chris's background and history as a paranormal investigator.
We are tagging Kalani Smith in an Instagram post in the event he wishes to hear Chris's take on the situation. Additionally, we welcome him onto the show to provide his input/retort. We got questions and hope that he will be willing to come on the show to answer them.

MVP's WTF? Paranormal - The Snedeker Case: The Haunting in Connecticut - S6 E7
play

03/08/23 • 85 min

Disclaimer/Warning: We're absolutely savage in this episode - no holds barred! This is one of our favorite cases from the Warren Files to discuss: The infamous Haunting in Connecticut case, aka The Snedeker Family Haunting. This case surrounds the Snedeker family who claimed their house was not only haunted, but that the demons also attacked them late at night...sexually. They sought out the help of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who rated this haunt only a 9 out of 10, though. We lose all sense of decorum and tact in this episode as we discuss the facts of the case as well as possible ulterior motives. Mell and Chris take the gloves off in this episode! Podcast Q&A

Why did you start this show?

Formed by veterans with a shared interest in the paranormal, their military experience prepared them for potentially risky investigations and fosters a sense of camaraderie during their explorations. Predating podcasts, this organization has embraced the medium to share their experiences and a few laughs with a wider audience. Military service can expose people to traumatic events, and some veterans may seek explanations for the unexplained. Military Veterans Paranormal serves as a support syste

Military Perspective: With members being military veterans, the podcast incorporates their unique perspective into their investigations, bringing a sense of discipline, structure, and possibly even humor to their approach. Which episode should someone start with?

Always listen to the latest episode, as it is the goal of the team to make every episode better than the previous one.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

The Battle of Los Angeles is actually based on a real alleged event. The Hollywood release caught our interest, but the actual research on the subject is just mind blowing. Certainly a podcast episode you can not miss.

Which episode are you most proud of?

The Kandahar Giant is a subject that still gives us the chills as the research has compelled us to question everything. Is it real? We still do not know, however the fact that the content we reviewed was military based makes us have a highented point of skepticism.

What is your vision for your show?

Overall, MVP's WTF Paranormal podcast likely aims to entertain listeners with paranormal stories, while also building a community and promoting awareness about veterans and the support they provide

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

The familiarity and fun banter of The Always Sunny Podcast is a comforting time that we can relate to. Friends who have a similar livelihood and shared interests dive into various subjects while talking crap on each other. Listening to the group inform each other as well as the listener while delivering a humorous point of view just brings us home. It's a good time, and we try to deliver a similar experience in our own way.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

Well the thing is.......we didn't call ourselves MVP's WTF Paranormal Podcast right out of the gate. This name that you now know and love was inspired by NPR shutting us down for our original name we had chosen. Apparently NPR thought our original name was too similar to a name that they were currently using and in a not so polite way told us to stop using it. We started out as Military Veterans Paranormals "All Things Considered Paranormal Podcast", and NPR used "All Things Considered". Appare
