For well over 20 years bandmates Frank Garrett and Jerry Tomlinson have split their time performing in Reno and Las Vegas. They were the house band for Toby Keith's "I love this bar" on the Vegas Strip for 10 years, and now perform regularly at Blake Shelton's Ole Red.
We sat down with the duo for a quick chat about their musical career during the NFR at the Rio where they were performing.Thanks again to our mutual friend Miss Amie Kiehn for setting us up with Left of Center!

Steve Helms ... Born and raised in Cleburne Tx...."I’ve been playing music my entire life."
Following in his dad's footsteps Steve has made a career of the music business. He spent 12 years playing and touring with his cousin Sonny Burgess as they played the Texas Honk Tonk circuit and eventually the Grand Ole Opry. Steve has spent his adult life honing his music and songwriting skills, and says he wouldn't change a thing.
We sat down with him in Las Vegas where he was playing the stage at the Westgate Hotel and Casino during the NFR.

Randy Hoyet is an independent singer/songwriter who has cut his teeth in the Texas scene while finding his path to a ruckus bluesy sound. Hoyet released his debut EP “Acoustic” in October of 2021, solidifying himself as a voice to be heard in Texas music. With tracks like “Lonely and Scared” to “Shameless”, Hoyet’s songwriting is raw power in real time. He has continued to create motion in the Texas music scene with his latest two full band singles, “Notices”, and “Drawn”. After almost two years of shows and studio time, Randy Hoyet is set to release his highly anticipated debut Album in 2025.
We sat down with Randy in Las Vegas at the Westgate Hotel and Casino where he was performing during the NFR. Humble beginnings in the music business, but Randy has proven he has the staying power to be a successful artist. Go check out his latest Full Album release "Shameless" from March of 2025, the soulful rocking blues of the title track will hook you from the start!
