Curtiss King Interviews Spectrasonics (Omnisphere) Founder Eric Persing
03/19/21 • 58 min
Music Producers, we had the opportunity to interview the founder of Spectrasonics (Omnisphere, Trillian, Keyscape) about their license and sample agreement (*Which They Updated BTW*). Thanks to your overwhelming response to my video that highlighted some grey area terminology for producers and sound designers, they reached out and are looking to provide us clarity and peace of mind. Eric Persing is the founder and creative director of Spectrasonics. He has produced dozens of the sampling industry's top selling titles and gone on to create the award-winning Omnisphere, Keyscape, Stylus RMX, Trilian, Atmosphere and Trilogy software virtual instruments.

While most producers and engineers understand it to be simply the 'agreed' upon norms of say, the music industry, I think that there are many that use it unconsciously as a measuring stick of your dedication to your craft. Let's talk about it.
