Celebrated Hollywood author and film historian Laurie Jacobson discusses Dishing Hollywood, her scintillating book about the most notorious scandals that have rocked Tinseltown from the early part of the 20th century up to the present. Tales of lives cut short, unsolved mysteries, dramatic suicides and steamy affairs fill the pages of Jacobson’s revealing romp through some of Hollywood’s biggest scandals involving stars like Gary Cooper, Lana Turner, Robert Mitchum, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Debbie Reynolds, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Wood, River Phoenix and many more. Multi-talented Rachel Mason drops by to discuss The Lives of Hamilton Fish, her award-winning cinema rock opera inspired by a true story. Rachel is a filmmaker, sculptor, songwriter and performer. She has written three operas, recorded ten full-length albums, and performed at numerous art museums and other venues, including the Detroit Museum of Contemporary Art and School of the Arts in Chicago. Winner of the Best Picture Award at the 2014 New England Underground Film Festival, The Lives of Hamilton Fish deals with two men with the same name who died a day apart in 1936. One of them was a serial killer, the other a descendant of one of the most prominent families in New York State. Their obituaries were published together on the front page of a newspaper. Told entirely through songs in the newspaper editor's voice, the story mixes the surreal with historical facts. Film critic Phil Hall calls this independent offering the best movie he's seen during 2014.

Renowned film critics Nell Minow, aka The Movie Mom, and MadMovie Man A.J. Hakari join Movie Addict Headquarters to discuss the upcoming film and DVD release schedule for Fall of 2011. Nell writes about culture, media and values for Beliefnet.com and was selected to be one of Roger Ebert's film critics on "Ebert Presents At the Movies." A.J. is the founder and editor of Passport Cinema and writes film reviews for Classic Movie Guide, ReelTalk Movie Reviews and Terror Tube.
