Though little evidence exists, the story infiltrated American culture in the 17th and 18th centuries. Taco Bell Strangler: Henry Louis Wallace

In the early 1990s a monster was preying on young black women within a 5 mile radius of East Charlotte, NC. As the crimes escalated in violence, Charlotte police couldn't determine if the murders were the work of a serial killer. Some of the crimes seemed to have similar details while other elements were unique in each case. The FBI was finally called in--and they concluded it was not the work of a serial killer. However, that was an erroneous conclusion. The women had one thing in common--each victim knew Henry Louis Wallace. It was a murderous 3 day spree that finally led to an arrest in the murders!
