It is such a joy to introduce you to Kelly Woods who is a friend I met over 10 years ago at a spiritual circle. We had so much fun reconnecting and talking about filling our cups, especially when we lead full lives and have others to care for.
During our conversation we discussed:

Kelly is the creator and sole practitioner of Solace Bodywork.
From an early age, Kelly always knew that she had a sensitive, nurturing & connected spirit. A love of caring for others, saw her naturally head into nursing straight out of school. She’s spent years feeling curious about life, through the experiences of supporting people and their loved ones during times of intense pain & suffering whilst nursing, but also personally as a mother and ongoing caregiver to an adult child. The gentle nudges through the years have helped her to reconnect with her inner peace, resources & spirituality and have guided her to deeply explore additional ways to reclaim and maintain wellbeing & resilience.
Solace Bodywork is the result of this. With many years of collective wisdom from everyone she’s been privileged to care for, extensive study and for the continual lived experience of being a caregiver to her now adult child, Kelly’s intention is to empower others through compassionate integrative bodywork. Using a blend of hands-on & hands-off body therapies, space can be held for a person to experience deep relaxation & reconnection with essence. What was once pushed aside and held at arm’s length, Kelly has gradually come to the realisation that through her own suffering and the witnessing of others, that life can still be filled with a mix of joy and sorrow alongside each other. And that the relationship we have with ourselves and others, particularly when uncertainty in life takes centre stage, can still flourish, and be held with tenderness through mindful presence, self-compassion & an honouring of our wholeness.
