“The God of the universe tells us to just bring our appetites and He will take care of the rest.” Today we continue in our series, Beatitudes: Building Godly Character in the Woman of God, by welcoming mom of three, Lorielle Agraso. We dive into the fourth beatitude, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Lorielle reminds us about the fullness of life that comes as we seek God and the things of Him. She helps us step away from the world and into the goodness of God.
The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org
ABOUT OUR GUEST
Lorielle Agraso is a follower of Jesus with a heart for revival and God's truth. She became a stay-at-home mom after her first of three was born. Her husband Gabe, is often traveling for work, and she found a deeper calling for her home and family as she learned to trust God in much of the solitary time. She was born and raised in Southern California, but recently moved to middle Tennessee, where the family has lived for almost 4 years. This was a big leap of faith, drenched in much prayer, but Lorielle found peace in surrendering what she once controlled, to dive deeper into what God was providing their family. They now live on 16 acres with 3 children (1 girl and 2 boys), 24 chickens, 6 ducks, 5 dogs and 2 kittens with hopes to add additional animals in the years to come. She loves growing her garden, cooking, trying new things and having friends and family over for game nights. Her faith has become her biggest adventure and each season she looks forward to the time spent with God as He plants new seeds and brings her into the next chapters He intends her walk to through.
SCRIPTURES
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6 ESV
Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:1-3 NIV
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8 NIV
Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. John 4:31-34 NIV
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, Psalm 63:1 & 5 ESV
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies. Psalm 23:5a NIV
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. Romans 14:17-18 ESV

SCRIPTURES
My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. Proverbs 2:1-9 NIV
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 ESV

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 ESV

Susan Shepherd joyfully serves as the USA Country Coordinator for Moms in Prayer International, coaching, encouraging, and working with amazing godly women across the United States. She joined a Moms in Prayer group in 1996 when her daughters were in elementary school. Since then, she’s experienced the peace, power, and perspective of watching God work in the lives of children and schools and she is passionate about sharing this hope and joy with other moms. SCRIPTURES
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 ESV
As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 ESV
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3 ESV
“Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Joel 2:12 NIV
Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. The Lord did not hesitate to bring the disaster on us, for the Lord our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him. Daniel 9:13-14 NIV
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22 NIV

Episode 143 - Truth That Will Set You Free with Luanne Botta
Moms in Prayer Podcast
03/08/21 • 36 min
“There is so much unrest with the lies coming our way, we need to know the truth.” Today Stacy talks with author and Bible teacher Luanne Botta about the armor of God. You are not going to miss this power packed episode where Luanne passionately shares the truth about who we are and what we have in Christ. This will set you free!
About our Guest:
Luanne Botta is an author, Bible teacher and speaker who brings the gospel to life through the Word and personal testimony. Her high energy and joyful spirit of encouragement bring an authentic transparency, making her an endearing and powerful speaker. As a high school teacher at a private Christian academy for almost 20 years, well-liked by her students, Luanne found herself in a unique role, guiding hundreds of young people through God’s Word with her uncompromising, take-no-prisoners way of speaking the truth while still showing them unconditional love. Her passion was igniting them to live their lives with a higher standard than the culture around them. From these years of ministry and the heartache experienced by her students in their teen years, Luanne authored two books to equip young people with the truth, Young Hearts. Pure Lives (for girls), and The Warrior Within (for guys). She served on the team for national singer, speaker and author, Kathy Troccoli, traveling the country as part of a ministry that has ushered thousands of women to the throne of God’s grace. The release of Luanne’s newest book, Spiritual Warfare and the Armor ofGod , will be out May 2021!
Scripture:
Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-17 (NASB)- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Gird your loins with the Gospel of Truth –
John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
Breast Plate of Righteous –
2Corinthians 5:21(NASB) He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Shod your feet with the Gospel of Peace –
John 14:27 (NASB) "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
Take up the Shield of Faith –
Romans 4:20-21 (NASB) yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
The Helmet of Salvation
2Corinthians 10:3-6 (NASB)- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
The Sword of the Spirit which is the Living Word of God
1John 4:4 (NASB)- You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Isaiah 54:17 (NASB)- No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.
Hebrews 4:12a (NASB)- For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword.

SCRIPTURES
Make the soul of Your servant joyful, For to You, Lord, I lift up my soul. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. Psalm 86:4-5 ESV
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 NIV
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 NIV
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before You. Psalm 89:14 NASB
The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. Psalm 103:8-13 ESV
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38 NIV

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Shellie Rushing Tomlinson is a farmer's wife and totally besotted grandmother of half a dozen beautiful grandchildren she fondly calls The Super Six. She fell in love with storytelling as a child when her paternal grandmother regaled her with stories of what it was like to come to Louisiana from the hills of Appalachia and set up house in a tent with a dirt floor. On the other side of the family tree, her maternal grandfather, a people-loving preacher, was known for using humor to draw his listeners to Jesus. It's safe to say the two of them marked her. Whether in her books, speaking before audiences, or dropping a segment on her podcast, she loves nothing more than helping hungry hearts feast on Jesus through humor and storytelling.
SCRIPTURES
And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” Luke 22:41-42 ESV
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 ESV
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 NKJV
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV
Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31 ESV
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 ESV

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Sally Burke’s introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown, and later as regional coordinator. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God’s life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide.
As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. In her leisure time, you’ll find Sally on a walk or run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends.
SCRIPTURES
We will not conceal them from their children,
But tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.
For He established a testimony in Jacob
And appointed a law in Israel,
Which He commanded our fathers
That they should teach them to their children,
That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born,
That they may arise and tell them to their children,
That they should put their confidence in God
And not forget the works of God,
But keep His commandments,
And not be like their fathers,
A stubborn and rebellious generation,
A generation that did not prepare its heart
And whose spirit was not faithful to God. Psalm 78:4-8 NASB
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
