When 14 year old Abigail (Abby) Hernández didn't return home from school, her mom, Zenya waited for a few hours just to see if her daughter Abby had just forgotten to call and let her know that she was going to be later than usual. But, when Abby still didn't show after 7:00pm, Zenya didn't waste anymore time, she reported her daughter missing to the North Conway, New Hampshire police department. No one could have known that Abby had been kidnapped by 34 year old Nathaniel Kibby, and that she wouldn't be let free for another 9 months, after being tortured, tazzed, and made to wear a shock collar like a dog. This is the survival story of how 14 year old, Abby Hernández would gain the trust of her abductor and return home safely.
