How to Create your Own Version of Success with Dr. Johanna B. Moore
In the past, society has defined success in such a rigid way, and we all followed suit thinking it would fulfill something in us but more often than not, it has left many of us questioning our decision.
You have three choices: doctor, lawyer, engineer. Not everyone is suited to these professions, then why have these been the pinnacle of success in our society’s eyes for so long?
This is not the case now. Newer generations have understood that happiness comes from finding out who you are and what you truly want, not what society tells you.
Especially for mothers. The role of the working or non-working mom has been switched up so much, it's time for us to take control of what is best for us when it comes to reaching our goals in our personal, professional, and private lives.
On today's episode, we are talking about growth and finding our own version of success and we have invited a very special guest who is an incredible woman.
Dr. Joanna B Moore is a triple board certified physician and a local leader in her community, as well as a mother of twins. Dr. Moore has a company called She Is Money , a success strategy platform for education and coaching.
Join us for an inspirational conversation about how we can redefine success for ourselves and society using Dr. Moore’s strategies to goal plan.
Topics discussed in this episode:
- How Dr. Moore started her company She Is Money
- Do we need to check all of society’s boxes of success?
- What the younger generations are teaching older generations about happiness

53: 5 Tips on Being Misunderstood when Pursuing a Goal or Passion
How to Handle Being Misunderstood when Pursuing a Goal or Passion
Check out this episode for 5 tips on how to handle being misunderstood!
Have you been misunderstood? Has someone questioned your values because you have the audacity to go after a goal? Have they criticized your parenting or your commitment to work? Have you ever felt judged by others for deciding to make your goal--be it a business goal, a monetary goal, a fitness achievement, or a creative work (like a book, or a piece of art)--a priority?
No matter how big or small your goal is, reaching it means that you will have to create something new in your life. You will have to become someone new. You will have to become the person that can attain that goal. When you do that, there may be people who misunderstand you. They may ridicule you, call you names, think you are wasting your time, or shun you. But ultimately, in order to reach your goal, you are going to need to allow them to misunderstand you.
In this episode, Jen shares 5 new ways to handle being misunderstood. And none of them include arguing with them or defending yourself. Check out this episode for a new way to handle being misunderstood--from a place of peace, compassion, and integrity.

55: 2-Minute Mindfulness Practice for Busy Moms + Game-Changing After-Work Routines
Meditation is held up as the holy grail for success. If you can meditate for 30 minutes a day, then anything is possible--or so we are lead to believe. But when you are a busy working mom, 30 minutes of freetime to meditate each day is not necessarily within reach. Check out this episode for a quick, tactical way to build your mindfulness and awareness in as little as 2 minutes a day, a few times each day.
You can bring more mindfulness and awareness into your day, even if you can't find 20 or 30 minutes for quiet meditation each day.
In this episode, I'll also show with you my game-changing addition to my after-work routine. Learn how a simple change to my after work commute created more time and more space for me each evening. It gave me back my evenings. It could help you too!
