Mind Your Biz Podcast - Ep 11: Surviving a CRA Audit | Consultant Jesse Gill
play

09/15/21 • 39 min

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst), being audited would be a 10. Audits can be inconvenient and it results in a large tax bill. But keep in mind that there is nothing to be concerned about. If you know what to expect and follow a few best practices, your audit may turn out to be “not so bad.”

In this episode, we are joined by Jesse Gil, with over 23 years of experience working at CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) as a Tax Auditor and Collections Officer, Jesse is familiar with how CRA operates. If CRA is auditing you, you are appealing the results of a CRA audit; need assistance in dealing with CRA Collections over tax debt, or you feel CRA has unfairly denied a benefit claim, he can provide you an honest assessment of your situation and guide you. For smaller accounting firms that don't have the resources to deal with CRA, he can assist you too.
