Mark is a CPA and managing partner for CWDL, Certified Public Accountants, a firm that specializes in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining CWDL, Mark founded and eventually exited GEMC which is a privately held mortgage bank located in San Diego.

Jon and Mark talk about why some mortgage brokers are thriving while others are drowning, why brokers should focus on Jumbo Non-QM and an effective way to unlock CPA Referrals.

Mark's Bio

Mark Wilson, CPA is responsible for the vision and direction of the practice. Mark is passionate about helping entrepreneurs realize their goals.

Often, this is accomplished by developing key performance indicators (KPIs), tax planning, and providing a clear understanding of business results. He frequently moderates mortgage industry round-table discussions for key industry executives and owners.

Prior to starting the CWDL, CPAs he found and eventually exited GEMC, a privately held mortgage bank located in San Diego, CA. In addition, he has served as a CFO for multiple financial service firms, participated in raising capital and M&A transactions.

Mark’s background as an entrepreneur and CFO provides him with a unique “client sided” perspective that has been proven valuable throughout his career.
