What do you get when you take a SEAL from enlisted to officer, leading men on the battlefield fighting the war on terror to a first time thrilling fiction author with a story based on his knowledge of the government & special operations? Jack Carr is what, ladies & gentleman. Had a blast sitting down with him & catching up after 20 years talking about how his time fighting overseas influenced his brilliant writing career off the battlefield.

Mark Greene is a surprisingly down-to-earth retired Navy SEAL. Born an Air Force brat (his words), Mark played college ball before dropping out, only to subsequently enlist and pursue SEAL Teams. He served on Teams 5 and 8, deploying to multiple combat theaters in the Pacific, Iraq, Afghanistan, and he even spent a little time serving alongside Mike in country, too. And most importantly, Mark got very, very good at performing extremely calculated maneuvers as a SEAL Sniper, until a fateful accident began tearing it all down.

Since then, Mark's penned a memoir in 'Unsealed - A Navy SEAL's Guide to Mastering Life's Transitions' and dedicated himself to sharing his story, in the hopes that other Veterans may find comfort when they too begin to feel isolated. The way Mark sees it, nobody expects you to go into combat all by your lonesome - so how could anybody be expected to fight their demons alone?

In this harrowing tale of learning true leadership the hard way, I sat down with former Navy SEAL Jason Redman to talk about his story of coming back after being seriously wounded in combat and making the most of adversity. From Ranger School to Iraq, there's no shortage of great lessons learned and how to maximize opportunities from the adversity in this one.

If a former Marine turned SEAL started his own tactical gear company at the turn of the century before all the big name companies do, what do you suppose would come of that? A self made entrepreneur with a ton of lessons learned the hard way so you don’t have to. In this episode I sit down with Chris Osman who graduated BUD/s class 215 with me, we talk about his military time, combat & transitioning into a multi-million dollar business owner. @_chris_osman_designs

The inspiration that comes from speaking with real life heroes is impossible to quantify. I continue to be humbled by the caliber of individuals that are willing to share their story with me. In sitting down with former green beret/unit member and owner of Fieldcraft Survival, Mike Glover, I continue to be amazed. After 20 years of service to this country in the highest of capacities, we talk about his experience as tomb guard, green beret, and Tier 1 operator. More importantly, we talk about how those experiences shaped who he is and how he brings that knowledge to your everyday citizen through his company, Fieldcraft survival.

The story of Captain Phillips and the sniper operation that saved his life and rescued him is one of the best our country has. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Terry Houin, one of the deadliest men on the planet, and who was one of the snipers on that operation. We talked about his amazing 26 year career as a SEAL, primarily spent at Development Group in the SEAL teams.

The Mike Drop Podcast supports active-duty police officers in all capacities. The views and opinions expressed by Zach Pfannenstiel on this podcast are reflective of Echelon K9 and not of the San Diego Police Department.

Patrol Officer. Gang Suppression Team Officer. Canine Handler. Training Sergeant. For Zach Pfannenstiel, these aren't just familiar titles - they're positions he's served as a faithful executor of the San Diego Police Department - a department that he still serves under today. He's also dedicated a notable amount of time in his career to the canine unit; over a decade in fact, where he continues to serve as the Training Sergeant responsible for overseeing a team of over 40 working dogs.

But law enforcement is about more than simply catching criminals, - just last April, Zach testified in Sacramento to combat the elimination of Police Canines with Assembly Bill 3241, representing all Canine Handlers in the State of California. It's a thankless job, but somebody's got to do it - fortunately for us, Officer Pfannenstiel is still on duty.
