Mike & Mike Go To The Movies

We've assembled our All-Star Guests once again for a fun review of the new MCU installment, Spider-Man: No Way Home. This episode was recorded in person right after Christmas, which was the first time Mike and Mike recorded an episode in the same room since 2015! We're joined by Producer Collin Stiles, Music Supervisor Kyle Cullen, Nick Wermuth, and Vin Craig for this round-table on the future of the MCU, so many Spider-Men, brief Matrix Resurrections takes (stay tuned for next week's episode for our full thoughts), and lots of laughs.

This week, Mike Smith got to talk for a few minutes with New York Times writer Kyle Buchanan, author of the new book BLOOD, SWEAT & CHROME: THE WILD AND TRUE STORY OF MAD MAX: FURY ROAD. And then, inspired by the book, the Mikes decided to give the movie a rewatch and talk about it, with the additional context that the book provides. (Pro tip: it is always a good idea to rewatch MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.)

It's another week of our Halloween round of Guest Makes Mikes Watch episodes, and this week we're bringing back podcaster Sam Harper, from shows like Four Minutes To and Kickstart My! And to get the month off to a great start, Laura Colaneri returns to the podcast to give us another crash course in South American horror - first up, it's the 1964 Brazilian classic AT MIDNIGHT I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL, which marks the first appearance of the iconic Coffin Joe. After that, we're talking a tight, underseen thriller in the vein of SORCERER - from Argentina, it's COLD SWEAT!
