Welcome to the latest episode of Mental Health Mavens. Today, we are thrilled to welcome Lisa Klco, a licensed therapist with expertise in Polyvagal Theory. Lisa joins us to discuss this powerful framework and how it can be utilized to enhance mental health and well-being.
Lisa begins by providing an overview of Polyvagal Theory, explaining how it works and its connection to the nervous system. She explores how it can be most effectively used in therapeutic settings and shares practical tips for individuals who want to practice it at home.
We dive deeper into the ways in which Polyvagal Theory can help with a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Lisa shares real-life examples of how it has helped her clients to regulate their emotions and improve their overall sense of well-being.
As our conversation progresses, Lisa provides guidance on finding a provider trained in Polyvagal Theory and can effectively incorporate it into their practice. We also explore the potential for this approach to enhance our relationships and foster greater connection with others.
