The holiday season can be a fun and magical time, but the burden mothers sometimes bear during this season can sometimes bring more stress than joy. If you’re recovering or recently recovered from postpartum depression or anxiety, the stress of the holidays can sometimes require a little extra self-care. This week I am joined by Dorthie Owens to discuss maternal mental health and postpartum depression. Dorthie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and coach working primarily with women and families experiencing postpartum mental health symptoms.

Unapologetically Happy
Mental Health-ish
07/10/22 • 38 min
Not too long ago, Dannie was living the life that she thought everyone wanted to live. She had a good-paying job as an attorney, a husband, a house, and the most adorable baby girl. The problem was, though, that aside from the time she spent with her baby, she was actually pretty miserable and functioning at a level of basic survival from day to day. How can we break away from survival to a life of being unapologetically happy? Listen to this week's episode to hear more of this story.

Join us, and let's discover the courage it takes to make significant changes in our lives.
