Helen’s eclectic talent, cheeky humor and effervescent personality bring passion and joy to her global audiences. A native of England, she has found a creative and welcoming home in Cleveland, Ohio. Helen has performed across the globe with many symphony orchestras & in big band shows & musicals including on Broadway and with the renowned Cleveland Orchestra as a frontline vocalist. In 2016, her musical release, "Spellbound" was an entry for the Traditional Pop Category of the Grammy Awards.
Her current show “A Little More Naughty than Nice! w/the Skatch Anderssen Orchestra is at the Maltz Performing Arts Center in Cleveland on 12/22: A Little More Naughty Than Nice with Helen Welch | Maltz Performing Arts Center | Case Western Reserve University
In our conversation, we explore how her musical focus on Karen Carpenter and the Carpenters has been personally & musically rewarding but also has served as a spotlight on how mental health is addressed universally and for performers in particular.
