Menpathy
Three Springs Media
“Menpathy,” a blend of the words “men” and “empathy,” is a podcast dedicated to empathizing with the stories, experiences, and mental health of men in modern society. Join Nash Rose and Chao Williams each week as they comedically and sincerely explore topics that are often overlooked in a world that continues to perpetuate false ideas of manhood. No topic is off limits as Nash and Chao (and sometimes guests) delve into a range of perspectives from lighthearted banter about the intricacies of dating (c’mon, who should really be paying the bill on the first date?) to more intense and meaningful topics like the importance of crying and the snowball effects of unhealed trauma. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll learn. New episodes released every Wednesday in partnership with Three Springs Media.

4. No Role Models in the Wild
Menpathy
11/03/21 • 45 min
In this episode, Nash and Chao explore the topic of role models and the impact of not having an appropriate one in your life as a child. Crackheads, sexual abuse and throwing rocks into oncoming traffic are just a few experiences that Chao shares as part of his harsh realities growing up in the tough neighborhoods of Washington D.C. and North Philly, without a proper role model. Nash questions if the lack of role models is the reason why some men rely so heavily on their friends, their approval, as well as the glorification of celebrity life.

Menpathy

Chao reflects on how always being told to "toughen up" as a young boy affects his present day adulthood as a man. While Nash shares some lessons she's learned from not understanding a man's emotions in her previous relationship. She also repeatedly tries and fails at making analogies, but the point is- therapy rocks.
12. Cheating Might Happen.
Menpathy
01/12/22 • 70 min
In a society where cheating seems to be inevitable, we have to start to question the reason behind such a seemingly common betrayal. In this episode Nash (@nashxrose) and Chao (@chaowilliams) are joined by Samori (@samori.t) and Tony (@tonynotiger) of the South and The City podcast as they go deep beneath the surface to discover what is actually going on when a man decides to cheat. Could it be as simple as fear of conflict? Are women essentially forcing men to cheat by upholding unrealistic expectations? Or, could it be that monogamy is simply an outdated concept? These are just a few of the ideas discussed as each host shares their own personal experience with cheating and being cheated on. Follow us: @menpathypodcast
