Starring Jack O'Connell as club legend Bobby Charlton, this 2011 BBC film is sure to please anyone looking for a historical look at the club that eventually became a European powerhouse.

A war-time love story set against the backdrop of World War II, The Keeper is the story of Bert Trautmann–the former-Nazi turned Manchester City legend who is still revered to this day.

Though this is the second WWII POW Camp movie we've covered on the Matinee (we escaped to Victory back in season one), these films couldn't have been more different from each other and The Keeper exceeded the lofty expectations we had for it.
