Always setting positive boundaries about having time off, especially as business owners do you have regular breaks and time off?
Do you sacrifice days off for work or other people? Are you a carer or do you not like to say no? I think it’s really important that we give ourselves a few days of annual leave just to catch up with ourselves and not particular to do anything just to holt the brakes let brains catch up.
This really produces overwhelming helps us weekend power and clarity within our businesses. It helps us stay focused on our personal and wellness goals. And I feel like it still empowerment as mums and entrepreneurs.

What is a Dopamine Detox?

A dopamine detox is a practice where you intentionally reduce or eliminate activities that trigger the release of dopamine, the "feel-good" neurotransmitter in your brain. This includes activities like scrolling through social media, binge-watching TV shows, snacking on junk food, or constantly checking your phone. The idea is to take a break from instant gratification, allowing your brain to reset and become more sensitive to natural, less intense rewards.

How Can It Help us Busy Mums?

1. Improved Focus As a busy mum, your to-do list never ends, and it’s easy to get distracted by quick dopamine hits like checking your phone or snacking. A dopamine detox helps you regain focus by reducing these distractions, making it easier to stay on task and get things done efficiently.

2. Enhanced Productivity When you’re constantly chasing dopamine highs, it’s hard to motivate yourself for the less exciting, but important, tasks. By reducing these quick fixes, you can boost your motivation and productivity, helping you tackle your responsibilities with more energy and drive.

3. Better Emotional Balance Mums often deal with a rollercoaster of emotions. Overstimulating your brain with constant dopamine hits can make these ups and downs more intense. A detox helps stabilise your mood, leading to a calmer, more balanced emotional state.

1. Dress for Confidence, Not Size

Find outfits that make you feel powerful and comfortable, focusing on fit rather than the number on the label. Well-fitted clothes can instantly boost your presence on screen.

2. Posture is Everything

Good posture gives off confidence and poise. Sit or stand up straight with your shoulders back to project energy and strength.

3. Choose Flattering Angles

When on video, find your best angles. Elevate your camera slightly and sit or stand so you’re presenting your face and upper body at a flattering angle.

4. Focus on Your Message, Not Your Appearance

Remember, people are tuning in for your expertise, not to judge your looks. Focus on delivering your message with enthusiasm and passion – that’s what shines through!
