Wow, we made it to episode 10! To capture this awesome milestone join me as I tell Emily all about Boston's boy torturer and killer, Jesse Pomeroy. Jesse's rein of terror took place in the 1870s, so I am taking you way back. Emily also shares with me a mocktail she found on TikTok (@themindfulmocktail) called a Simple Sunrise Mocktail. It is a super simple AF version of the classic tequila sunrise - just swap out the tequila with your zero proof tequila of choice. Ritual makes a pretty good tequila alternative, and there are several others out there on the market now including Spiritless, Free Spirits, and Sobrii. I have not personally tried these so cannot vouch for their flavor palette, but they are on my list to try :-)
Shoutout to Always Talking Crime podcast hosted by Kimi Thompson! Check out her trailer at the beginning of the episode, and you can find her on Spotify and Podbean, and everywhere you get your podcasts. She is also all over social media and can be found in Instagram and Facebook.

Episode 9: Leopold and Loeb
Hello friends! Apologies for the late posting of this week's episode. Join me as I share with Emily the tragic murder of Bobby Franks by Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb. These two fools think they have planned the "perfect crime" when they decide to kidnap and murder Bobby Franks. One minor slip up will be their downfall...not so perfect after all.
Several shout outs in this episode!!
Check out Nocturnal Distractions and their trailer at the beginning of the episode. You can find them HERE.
I mention Sips of Crime and Evil Pudding in the episode. Go check them out if you need more true crime in your life.
This week's mocktail is my take on a drink I found over at Spirited Spirits podcast called The Axe Murderer. So far I love their content and cases, so please check them out. You can find the original drink on their IG page HERE. I will post the recipe I come up with later in the week on our IG and FB pages!

Episode 11 - The Mysterious Disappearance of Hisashi Fujimura
Welcome back, friends! This week I tell Emily about yet another unsolved case - that of Hisashi Fujimura. This case takes place in 1931, several hundred miles off the coast of the eastern United States, between New York and Nova Scotia. Was it an act of malice? An accident? A case of wanting to start anew? Join us as we discuss the possible outcomes and what may have actually happened.
Shout out to Sips of Crime, a true crime podcast hosted by Michelle and Kandi. Please listen to their trailer at the top of the episode - you can also find them all over social media at sipsofcrime, and on their website at www.sipsofcrime.com. Listen to them everywhere you get your podcasts.
This week's mocktail is complements of Mocktail Party written by Kerry Benson, MS, RD and Diana Licalzi, MS, RD. Emily bought this book for me recently and I absolutely love it!
