(SFR ARCHIVE) The Nuremberg Trials (Part 1 of 7)
Vane Tempest
02/07/22 • 48 min
Episode #1 of this Nuremberg Trial series sets the stage for our deep dive into the most important international trial in human history. The Allied victors of World War II set up an International Military Tribunal to prosecute Hitler's Nazi henchmen for their heinous crimes.
We will first examine the historical background of the trial, the primary figures involved, profiles on Chief Prosecutor Jackson (USA) and Reichsmarshall Goering (Nazi Germany), the charges laid against the Nazi defendants, the commencement of the proceedings, and the American Delegation's opening remarks (which should be read fully here as referenced in the episode).

(SFR ARCHIVE) The Nuremberg Trials (Part 2 of 7)
Vane Tempest
02/07/22 • 66 min
Episode #2 of this Nuremberg Trial mini-series examines the prosecution cases against the Nazi defendants.
After being formally charged for Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes, the American, British and French delegations introduced evidence to the proceedings and call their first witnesses to the stand. Would they disavow Hitler or remain steadfast in their allegiance to Nazism?
The evidence submitted to the IMT included the first revealed videos of the Holocaust (as referenced in the podcast).
The brutal crimes of Hermann Goering, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Alfred Jodl, and Albert Speer would be laid bare for the world to witness. Additionally, the opening speeches of the French and British delegations would be presented to the courtroom.

After this, we look at the deteriorating relationship between Monroe and the Kennedy brothers, the possibility of a secret abortion, and the debauched weekend at Sinatra's club and casino.
We then review the standard version of events in Monroe's last day of life and see what mainstream historians say about her final days.

In Part 2 of this Marilyn Monroe deep dive mystery saga, we begin with a surprise visit from Soviet Premier Nikita Kruschev.
And as we move along we learn more about JFK's rise to the presidency, his battle with Addison's disease, and his string-along games with Monroe and their trysts.
We also look at Marilyn's stint in a mental institution with her escalating drug habits that were seemingly incapable of being broken.
And we also meet some new characters that will be invaluable participants in Monroe's ultimate demise: Hollywood PI Fred Otash, Marilyn's late-arriving housekeeper Eunice Murray, and an introduction to the shadiness of Dr. Greenson.
And as mentioned in the middle of this episode, here is a link to The Misfits music catalogue.

This podcast/audiobook is one that lay at the nexus of first-degree murder, militant ideology, and a multi-decade manhunt. That is to say, we will be looking at the primary source writings of one of the most notorious American terrorists of all time: Dr. Theodore John Kaczynski aka Ted Kaczynski aka Uncle Ted aka...The Unabomber
Kaczynski wanted a militant anarcho-primitivist bottom-up revolution reminiscent of the Luddite uprising from the early 1800s. But worldwide this time.
And he hurt a lot of people in his failed attempts to spark the aforementioned revolution.
In total, he killed three people and wounded 23 others over a 17-year period. Crimes that would eventually lead to him to a guilty plea on 10 counts of the production, shipping and utilization of deadly explosives and three counts of first-degree murder.
And this would land him in ADX Florence (a super-max prison in Colorado) where he will be serving 8 consecutive life sentences without the chance for parole.
And by all accounts, his health is in rapid decline and he was recently hospitalized.
This podcast is an unedited presentation of Kaczynski's manifesto presented in audiobook styling.
If you prefer to read the work for yourself, here is the link to a PDF.
Cheers and stay tuned :)

In Part 4 of this Marilyn Monroe deep-dive murder investigation, we take a very long look at two central characters in this mysterious saga... PI Fred Otash and Housekeeper Eunice Murray
Otash was a shady figure in 'Old School Hollywood' that would work, and double-cross, anyone who had a fistful of dollars. He'd sell information to the FBI, CIA, private figures like Joe DiMaggio, criminal elements like the Chicago mob, and most importantly for our story OCID.
Officer Rothmiller details his private investigation and interrogation of Otash at an LA diner in the late 80s... and many chilling details emerge from the depths of his dark career.

How did Marilyn Monroe actually die? Was it an intentional suicide? Accidental overdose? Or was it criminal homicide?
In this first installment of our investigation into the death of the Hollywood icon, we will look at Los Angeles in the 1950s, the shady characters that Monroe surrounded herself with, and the slew of influences affecting her life.
This includes abusive husbands, an escalating drug addiction, a party girl lifestyle, and sexual relationships with some of the world's most important men. This included JFK, Frank Sinatra, Joe Dimaggio, Sam Giancana, Arthur Miller, and most importantly RFK.
Needless to say, Marilyn's official death narrative has many loose ends. Part 1 of this 'Smoke Filled Rooms' miniseries will lay down the groundwork for our analysis and introduce us to the central people crucial to discovering the answers.

In this episode, I was visited by one of the greatest historical podcasters of our time.
I’m of course talking about CJ Killmer of the Dangerous History podcast.
We compared and contrasted the historical, political and economic legacies of two of our most hated US presidents (who can rightly be described as criminals of the highest order)
My personal arch-nemesis is George W. Bush and CJ’s is Woodrow Wilson
Mr. Killmer is a self-proclaimed Florida Man and holds a bachelor's and a Master's degree in History (the latter being from the University of Tennessee). And he used these credentials to teach history at the collegiate level for nearly 16 years. The primary topics of his courses were US History, Western Civilization, World History and Floridian History.
He’s been a recurring guest on the Tom Woods Show, The Survival Podcast and has appeared on Lions of Liberty, History Impossible, and Unloose The goose.
And though CJ self-identifies as a smart-ass, iconoclast, and a cynical critic of authority, he is also one of the most intelligent members of the informal liberty movement. One whom I am honoured to welcome to my humble little show.
Cheers and thanks for listening!

In this series finale of our investigation into the potential murder of Marilyn Monroe, we begin by continuing to look at her death day from multiple angles. Who was present? Why did RFK stop by twice on that fateful day? Where was Dr. Greenson? And why was her housekeeper doing laundry at 4 am when the police arrived?
We then dive deeper into the seeming police cover-up sparked by her passing, the bizarre coroner's autopsy, and then her funeral/legacy. We also examine how the various individuals surrounding Marilyn's life may have been involved in her death.
Ending the episode is my personal conclusion as to what transpired late that August night. Although conspiratorial in nature, I present a different theory than the murder hypothesis.
And as with many other instances to date, we have many sections that include the amazing writings of Tarraborreli, Thompson and Marilyn herself.
Thank you for coming along on this strange and sordid journey into old-school Hollywood. Please email or message me and let me know what you think happened to Ms. Monroe.
P.S. Thank you as always Shari for the Marilyn voicing clips xo
