This week we have an amazing guest, entrepreneur Liz Lange, who is most famously known for the creation of Liz Lange Maternity, the first of its kind designer maternity clothing line that went on to become not only the most recognized name in fashion but broke into new territory with mega brand partnerships such as Nike and Target.
Adored by celebrities and stylish women across the country, the namesake lives on today.
And despite selling the company, Liz continued onto even more success with women’s clothing lines at Home Shopping network and QVC, and eventually acquired the indie fashion label Figue, which she has masterfully revived into a must have fashion staple.
We chatted about getting into the fashion business and becoming an entrepreneur, a fateful turn of events at fashion week in 2001, deciding to sell her namesake, buying and completing a three year renovation of the historic estate in east Hampton known as Grey Gardens, and advice for entrepreneurs starting out in the world of fashion.
