The Local Spotlights podcast belongs to Part Three of "Looking North": a series of conversations with artists, nature writers, and ecological initiatives in Scotland and beyond which explore landscape, nature and energy in a way that moves beyond mainstream conventions. Part Three focuses specifically on care, healing and regeneration to broaden our understanding of what it means to connect, relate and take positive environmental action. Over the course of five episodes, we are joined by a selection of people and projects from Fife and Dundee in Scotland, who share their insights and perspectives with us.

In this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Connie Hunter, the co-founder and owner of East Neuk Market Garden: a 4-acre agroecological farm growing vegetables, salads, herbs, and fruits in the East Neuk of Fife. She tells us about the journey that led her and her partner, Tom, to start East Neuk Market Garden. We also discuss what drew them to agroecological farming practices, and how growing food links to both public and environmental health, as well as our sense of place and community.
