And now it's time to go to sleep...(a bedtime lullaby)

Falling asleep can be wonderful. It can also be difficult too when we have sad thoughts or worries from today that are still popping around our minds like ping pong balls on a trampoline. Even worse can be thinking about things that haven’t even happened yet, like worrying about tomorrow - tonight! That’s not a picnic I’d like to attend even if there’s caramel cupcakes. So, we can’t worry about what’s over with or what hasn’t happened yet or may actually never happen when we’re supposed to be sailing off to snoozeville. I call going to sleep snoozeville. Maybe you call it slumbertown. Anyway, we just need to let all of our cares get some shut eye too. When we do that, sometimes they don’t ever come back. So, please take a few deep breaths while breathing in heaps of positivity and breathing out all of your negativity and give a listen to this pacifying poem. And remember, we should do things today to make tomorrow better!
If you enjoy this, I encourage you to listen to a fantastic interpretation of it by my friends Thomas Mitchell and Paxton Stanley over at Planet Storytime Podcast! I enthusiastically recommend digging their many glorious episodes. You will not be disappointed.

The Peculiar Plight of the Cat Alexander Platt
Have you ever seen someone acting a bit different than you think they would? Like seeing some of your serious teachers being loud and goofy while having fun at a baseball game? You may wonder why they are behaving that way because you think that teachers can only act like teachers and why are they cheering for the opposing team? Well, we can all act differently to the surprise of some or many. As long as no one is hurt, we should be able to be who we want to be. You wouldn’t tell your friend that they shouldn’t take on a new hobby like underwater basket weaving, if they wanted to try something new would you? I certainly wouldn’t because I need a new basket. I have too many balls of yarn and they are rolling all over my floors leaving strings of chaos. Enough of my problems. I don’t think you’d want anyone to tell you that you shouldn’t do things that you like to do either. In this episode, we will hear the story of Alexander Platt. Alexander is a cat that is doing his own thing and minding his own business, but the other animals are bothered by how he behaves. I believe we should celebrate how different we all are because it takes all sorts of people to make up this marvelously-magnificent marble we call home. We learn from one another’s experience and if we are all the same, then we cannot learn new things that may help us be better. So, please give a few moments of your day to the tale of the Peculiar Plight of the Cat Alexander Platt. And remember, we should do things today to make tomorrow better!

Boo!(nus) Episode - Halloween Dance Song
Just a head's up that the term "booger" is used in this song. If that is offensive to you, please do not listen, as I truly do not intend to offend people, animals, or inanimate objects.
Hello! I didn’t hear you there. I certainly couldn’t see you there. I know that’s not very funny. Are you wearing your autumn sweater yet? Make sure you wear your fuzzy one!! Welcome to LoFi Bedtime Very Tales. This is a boo!(nus) episode in the form of a dance song about Halloween. Why not a dance song? I’m not ready for a Zydeco song yet. When the time comes, I’ll sing that in French - I promise — Je vous promets. This song is about the holiday that is celebrated in some places on Earth and not others. There’s some comedy involved with the message to just have fun. That’s it! That’s enough, right? So, get your costume sorted, grab your pillow case, and head off to the wealthy neighborhoods that give out full size candy bars. Whether you’re searching for chocolate, nougat, or the black licorice of love, I hope that you have a spectacular Halloween and be safe. And always remember to do things today that will make tomorrow better!
