It's decision time for the Chicago White Sox and if Leury Garcia is out, then will Hanser Alberto be in? Reports spread quickly though social media on Sunday that Leury Garcia, the longest tenured Chicago White Sox player, will NOT be on the Opening Day roster. It's a surprise since he has money owed and time left on his contract. Infielder, Hanser Alberto, has had a very special spring and if he is awarded a roster spot, it's because he absolutely earned it. Rumored swirled that right fielder, Oscar Colas, will also make the Opening Day roster. Colas has had an impressive spring and deserves the opportunity. Sox fans also got word recently that Dylan Cease will get the start on Opening Day, a spot held by Lucas Giolito in the past. Cease had a nice tune up on Friday against Oakland and seems to be in a great place. The White Sox also announced that AJ Pierzynski will be throwing out the first pitch during the Home Opener on April 3rd. Michel Kopech will get the start for the White Sox.

It was a rough day at Camelback Ranch for Michael Kopech as the White Sox lost to the SF Giants, 6-3. Michael Kopech had a lot to say about his performance and it was not a surprise that he was disappointed. Kopech struggled to find the zone in his four innings of work. He got out of a few self-made jams but also gave up a three run homerun to cap off a tough day. Sox offense did not do much to help him out. Seby Zavala and Romy Gonzalez each had a homerun. Eloy Jimenez played in his second game in a row since returned to action after the leg cramp issue earlier in the week. Jimenez said he left the game for precautionary reasons and feels very good. Jimenez, along with four other White Sox players, made ESPN's list of Top 100 MLB players. There are some clarifications to the new MLB rules and the official broadcast schedule came out which will feature the White Sox in eleven nationally televised games.

Final game of spring training has arrived for the Chicago White Sox as they prepare to turn their focus to Houston. There were more roster decisions being made and some clarity on what the bench as well as bullpen might look like. Romy Gonzalez, despite a slow start the spring, has come on lately and is rumored to have made the ballclub. Right hand pitcher, Gregory Santos, might also make the ballclub instead of Nick Avila or Bryan Shaw. Aaron Bummer has returned to action and has looked pretty good in his brief Cactus League outings. Infielder, Hanser Alberto, should find out on Wednesday that he officially made the team but he had a scare in the 5th inning of Monday's game when he was hit by pitch in the hand and had to leave. White Sox say that he is fine. Pedro Grifol understands that there is no such thing as a perfect lineup and values versatility but he also provides some insight into the process of picking his roster. Andrew Vaughn retuned to action after a lower back issue but Yoan Moncada is still suffering from his lower back problems and is day-to-day.
