Taijuan Walker lasted just four innings and was charged with four runs on seven hits and a walk as the Philadelphia Phillies fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2.

Despite Walker’s struggles, the offense didn’t do much to back him up. Kyle Schwarber came up with two of the Phillies’ four hits recording two doubles on the night. He drove in a run with one of them. Nick Castellanos also came up with a solo homer, his fifth homer of the season. The other hit came on a leadoff single by Trea Turner in the 4th.

The loss mark’s the Phillies first back-to-back losses in over a month.

Phillies will try to get back on track Saturday afternoon at 4:05, weather permitting.

PHILLIES POSTCAST: Zack Wheeler OUTDONE by Chris Sale in 9-3 Phillies' loss to Braves

Wheeler was charged for six runs on four hits and four walks. He also gave up a two-run homer to Ozzie Albies as part of a four-run 4th inning. Wheeler needed 107 pitches to get through just 5.1 innings.

Carlos Hernandez relieved Wheeler in the 6th and gave up an infield single to Michael Harris II before allowing a two-run single by Luke Williams to push the Braves lead to 6-0 in the 6th.

Wheeler’s counterpart, Chris Sale was dominant over six scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits, three walks and one hit batsman while striking out six throwing 102 pitches.

After taking two out of three from the Braves, the Phillies have now won nine of their 10 series. They start a three-game series with Rhys Hoskins and the Brewers Friday night at 6:45. Taijuan Walker is slated to start against Quinn Priester.

The Phillies fell to the Brewers, 5-2 Sunday afternoon marking their fourth straight loss and fifth in their last seven games.

Ranger Suarez tossed six-plus innings of two-run baseball but the bats, nor the Phillies defense could back him up.

Brewers’ starter Jose Quintana allowed eight base-runners through his four innings of work, but the Phillies were only able to muster two runs out of that. An RBI single by J.T. Realmuto and a check swing RBI infield single by Kyle Schwarber.

In the field, Edmundo Sosa and Trea Turner came up small. Sosa had a miss-play that allowed a run to score in the 5th. He had an out at the plate but instead went to 2nd to get a force out and second out of the inning. Then in the 7th, Turner had a grounder hit to him that should have been the final out of the inning, but instead booted it. The Brewers would go on to take a 4-2 lead in the inning.
