Penguins-Blackhawks season opening recap!
The Pittsburgh Penguins did not have the start they were looking for this season. They lost 4-2 to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night and some of the same issues we saw last year popped up again this year. Hunter and Pat start with the defensive zone issues and how the Penguins failed at clearing the net front and getting sticks into passing lanes. They look at how the efforts on the first and third goals against were not good enough. The Pittsburgh Penguins bounced back in a big way on Friday night with a 4-0 win against the Washington Capitals and Hunter is here to break it all down. There's no Pat for this one since he had some things come up, but Hunter still discusses how the power play won this game for the Penguins. He looks at how Erik Karlsson's zone entry got everything going the first time the team went on the PP and how it looks like a completely different unit with him on the ice. He also looks at the unit's movement and how it's really starting to come together before shouting out Evgeni Malkin for a wonderful performance.
