A special Penguins-Jackets crossover with Jay Forster of Locked On Blue Jackets!

It's crossover Wednesday as another Metropolitan Division rival host joins Locked On Penguins for a special crossover. Hunter and Pat sit down with Jay to discuss both teams this offseason, starting with the Penguins. Jay asks both hosts how Kyle Dubas has done this offseason and if the Penguins are a contender heading into the year. He also gets into the obvious Erik Karlsson trade and how the Penguins really didn't have to give up much value to the Sharks before the roles are reversed. Hunter and Pat take turns asking Jay questions about the Blue Jackets as they could be a sneaky good team heading into the year. They also dive into the Jackets hiring Mike Babcock as their head coach and how they were aggressive in reshaping their blue line. The three hosts then dive into the Metropolitan Division and why it's going to be the best in the NHL this season before giving some August Stanley Cup predictions.

Hunter and Pat start off today's show with the latest updates on Tomas Tatar and why he seems to be in discussions for a contract with the Penguins. Hunter and Pat look at how he'd be a great fit for the team as the Penguins lack a true middle-six winger for the bottom six. They also analyze how this would give the Penguins a basically perfect offseason considering everything else Kyle Dubas has done. They then try to figure out what kind of contract he will get since that's what it's probably gonna come down to that (the money). They then discuss how the Penguins will have the cap space for next year to make an impact signing, especially with how good the free agent class looks.
