Pastor Jim recently returned from a trip to Israel, and took some time this weekend to talk about all that he has been learning, in particular about the war we see mentioned over in Ezekiel chapters 38–39. This war is different from Armageddon, for many of the characteristics the Bible describes about each war don’t align. The war in Ezekiel will happen before the rapture, and it will end with a miracle that will draw people to the Lord. Ultimately, it will be the beginning of the latter rain and multitudes of people welcoming God on this earth!

The words that we speak carry authority. That’s why guest minister Dennis Burke took the time to remind us this past weekend about our God-given authority in Christ. What a wonderful Easter weekend we had celebrating the resurrection of our Savior! As Pastor Mac preached about, Jesus’ resurrection is truly the basis for our faith, for it changes everything. You and I don’t have to be consigned to a life of our own effort. Jesus’ resurrection has given us the power to rise above the darkness and need that is so evident in a world without God. All we need to do is get to know Jesus. The more we know Jesus, the more He can reveal His power to us. The more we have a revelation of His power at work within us, the more we will come to expect His power to work in our lives!
