I would like to share information about a paper authored by a team of researchers from Germany, Finland, and Switzerland, with Gunther Felmerer leading the group.
The paper, titled "Increased levels of VEGF‐C and macrophage infiltration in lipedema patients without changes in lymphatic vascular morphology," was published in the peer-reviewed journal Scientific Reports in July 2020.
The study aimed to investigate and characterize the tissue and lymphatic vascular aspects of lipedema. This research contributes another valuable piece to the understanding of lipedema.
