play

09/25/20 • 50 min

My human conversation this episode was so good. The fantastic Scott Leese is not only a sales legend, but he is also an absolute inspiration. His mindset and resilience gives us so much to learn from and I loved our chat. Scott is one of the top startup sales leaders in the country. Through domestic and international consulting as a strategic advisor; he has trained an army of salespeople and sales leaders thousands strong. Leese puts his nearly two decades of sales and leadership experience to use as the CEO/Founder of both Scott Leese Consulting, LLC and SurfandSales.com. Based in Austin, TX, Scott is a 3-time winner of the Top 25 Inside Sales Professionals by the American Association of Inside Sales, and a highly sought-after consultant, advisor, leader, and sales trainer. He had a very difficult time in life where he went from a super fit every day guy to a man who was very close to death - literally. We talk candidly about what that was like and what life is like now because of that experience. We also discuss... 🌟 Tequila 🌟 Sales 🌟 Surfing 🌟 And How these can all be beautifully connected! If you ever want an episode to help you feel gratitude and to really test your own mindset and how you approach life and business then this one is a cracker. Live it Love it Sell it - HC036 - The Sales Rebellion - with Dale Dupree
play

08/17/19 • 40 min

At last I got to speak to this legend who I call my 'brother from another mother' due to the fact that we speak about sales in exactly the same way. Many sales coaches and trainers say what they think we all want to hear but both Dale and I have walked everything that we talk about. Here we discuss life, his journey from a young man to where he is today, and how our Dad's were indeed our heroes and showed us what sales was truly about - connection and relationships. They are both very proud of us and we know that - I loved my human conversation with this man. One day we will work together and I'm working on that being a Day One! Live it Love it Sell it - HC015 - Stepping inside a teenager's world with Sam White
play

09/07/18 • 25 min

In this episode I am delighted to have my son Sam with me as my special guest. As he has just started his Year 9 at 13 yrs old I realised that his world right now is a very different place to mine, and I was curious to step into that world and see what things looked like from his perspective. Just like I always say we should when we sell! He certainly made me think about choice and how we can do things in a different way. What an interesting human conversation we had! Please do let us know what you think - we'd love to know. Loved it and hope you do too.

Live it Love it Sell it - HC051 - Carrot Shaped Stick - with Loz Jones
play

04/18/20 • 48 min

In this episode I was delighted to have a human conversation with the brilliant Loz Jones. I was lucky enough to work with him about 4 years ago in a digital marketing agency and we met again for coffee - just before the lockdown. It was amazing to catch up and discover so much more about him than I knew. Loz is a talented artist, designer and musician with over 20 years experience, 15 of those in video and motion graphics, plus a lifetime of writing and producing music. We chat about... 🌟His new business - Creative Sound & Vision 🌟His love of music and when it started 🌟His journey and discovery that he had bipolar disorder 🌟A real account of how we can be better educated about the disorder 🌟The amazing music that he wrote during is journey His album is called 'Carrot Shaped Stick' and is about aspiration, disconnection, desperation, love and resurrection. The metaphor for the use of a combination of reward and punishment to induce a desired behaviour. Loz wrote, sang and produced the whole album and 50% of the royalties he earns from sales of the album will go to MIND, the mental health charity. This human conversation was really touching and I believe many lessons can be learnt from it. One of the most interesting and creative people I know and he has had one hell of a journey, but look how far he has come - inspiring. Here are the links to connect with Loz and of course for you to buy his brilliant album 'Carrot Shaped Stick' Work: http://www.lozjones.com/creative.html Album: https://ditto.fm/carrot-shaped-stick Music: http://www.lozjones.com Grab a cuppa and enjoy! Live it Love it Sell it - HC067 - Dare to dream - with Kevin Gaskell
play

09/04/20 • 57 min

It's not often you get to have a conversation with a world record holder, but there is a whole lot more to Kevin Gaskell that makes him a truly inspirational person. As CEO of successful world class brands - Porsche, Lamborghini, and BMW , and as a serial entrepreneur who has built international companies from ‘a good idea’, Kevin has created over £3 billion in shareholder value – and yet has still found time to climb the world’s highest mountains, walk to both North and South Poles, compete in international sport and play in a rock band - and did I mention his world record from rowing across the Atlantic. On this epic achievement he said, “We have crossed the ocean and we all came out of it still friends. That was our main aim. I am very privileged to have been part of that. I feel incredibly fortunate”. Kevin and his Atlantic rowing team are now World Record holders for the fastest row across the Atlantic in a 5 man boat. The epic journey, which took 35 days 19 hours and 50 minutes, raised more than £100k for the Plastic Soup Foundation, a charity that fights against the build up of plastics in oceans. In this podcast we get to know more about the experiences he has had and he leaves us in no doubt that if we 'Dare to dream' we can do anything. As he says ordinary people can do extraordinary things. His book is 'Inspired Leadership and you can get it here - https://amzn.to/3h3Mozc Well worth a listen if you ever thought you can't do something. Grab a couple of cuppas for this one - it's well worth the listen! play

04/27/22 • 20 min

The first of my solo sessions and I'm exploring 'comparisonitus'! It's crippling, will block you, will challenge your inner confidence, and really doesn't serve you! So why do we do it and how can we ensure we don't let it do all of the above to us?! This podcast is my food for thought and I hope you enjoy. Kettle on!
