On this week’s episode we talk women and stock investments with Cassandra Cummings. Cassandra is a licensed financial advisor and investment advisor representative. She created The Stocks & Stilettos Society after realizing there was a need for women to have a safe space to learn about investing. Cassandra was the first in her family to attend college, earning her degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California. She truly understands the importance of having a support system in place filled with encouraging mentors to help you achieve your goals. Her challenges, workshops and speaking engagements are informative and anything but intimidating.

The Stocks & Stilettos Society is not your average financial literacy resource. Their mission is to equip women with the knowledge and tools to move their savings to the next level – by way of investing. When it comes to investing, many women look the other way; fearful of the stock market and are busy with other obligations to learn. They know they should be investing, but they don’t know where to start.

Cassandra addresses RISKS and knowing that investing involves them as the most important thing women should know when investing.

She also stresses that women should just START to invest, because starting small beats not starting at all!

Cassandra explains the difference between Bottom Up and Top Down investment strategies and she touches on

  • 401K
  • Roth IRAs
  • Rollover options
  • 529 programs for college savings

Cassandra is hosting her 1st Women’s Investment Conference in Atlanta, Georgia at the Grand Hyatt on March 9th-11th... you will hear from keynote speakers Malcolm J Harris of National Care Financial Group and Gail Perry-Mason of Oppenheimer & Co., Inc

There will also be panels and speakers discussing

  • Crypto currencies
  • Investment Clubs
  • Real Estate and
  • IPOs
