After Megan came on the show, her and I become so much closer! I am thrilled at what she's been up to and what she's accomplished in the last few months since we talked! She's created an AMAZING workbook that helps work through some of the processes of leaving MLM, by asking tough, but compassionate questions that create some personal introspection and awareness. If you've seen The Rise and Fall of LuLaRoe, you're familiar with Carla Hadfield, the owner of the Airstream and Sam's biggest victim. As with most exposes, a lot gets left on the cutting room floor, so when Carla expressed concern that some of what she shared might be cut out due to time constraints, I invited her to spill her guts to us. While Carla's MLM story isn't much different than most, what happened to her at the hands of a predator inside the organization definitely is. Through a series of vulnerable events, coercive conversations, and emotional manipulation, Sam stole almost everything Carla had, until she decided to fight back.
