Spidey is reading the daily Bugle as we flash to the Bugle Building where John Jameson unexpectedly shows up to take his dad to dinner. Later we see John transform into the Man-Wolf and go to the Bugle to attack JJJ.

A jewel thief accidentally steals a gem that is one of two powerful Kree artifacts. It gives him the ability to shoot rays from his eyes and he names himself the Basilisk.

(18:36) Marvel Team Up 17 Spidey and Mr. Fantastic in Chaos at the Earth’s Core.

Spider-Man is unknowingly being followed by the Basilisk as he seeks out Mr. Fantastic. The heroes determine the omega stone is in the center of the earth. They go down but are captured by the Moleman!
