A Personal Brand Story is all about You and Your Business or Profession.

While brand stories must be interesting and attractive, the key is that it must be strategic! It should be the bridge that connects your business to your target audience.

In this week’s episode, I chat with Reme Mancera, a personal brand strategist who is specialized in helping entrepreneurs share their story strategically to make their offering stand out.

Based in Spain, Reme works globally with course creators, coaches and service providers by using her framework “Story Connectors” to identify key moments in someone’s journey that they can share to highlight key factors of what they sell, to gain their audiences’ attention, trust and intention to buy.
This episode is jam-packed with advice on building a personal brand story that is captivating, yet also strategic.

In the early days of my career in communications and PR, I worked with leadership personalities & public figures, where we created communications strategies to help them build credibility & trust.

At the time, no one called it “Personal Branding”, but that was exactly what we were doing! The work, communications strategy, content, media interviews, publishing books and public speaking was all used to ultimately build my client’s influence.

Today, this is thought leadership and personal branding. The media scene changed but so many principles are still standing strong.

In this solo episode, I explain why thought leadership is the new currency in our information-saturated space, how to be visible online, and all about consistently sharing valuable insights and speaking on issues that impact your industry.

How customers perceive your personal brand can significantly impact your business. Thought leadership helps shape this perception by demonstrating your expertise and commitment to providing value.

Hope you enjoy this episode.

This is the last episode of the season... I come to you in this raw unscripted episode, giving you an inside look into what will I be looking at when conducting a mid-year review for my work and for my personal brand.

In this episode, I take you through some of my annual goals, and how did I perform during the course of these first 6-months... and my plans while reviewing some of those results.

The aim is not only to reach the goals that I set in the beginning of the year, but to also assess what worked and what didn’t ... and use the remaining half of the year to pivot, change or “fix” anything in my strategy.

I wish you all a wonderful summer months. I hope you make the time to assess your goals and how far you’ve come since setting them with a mid-year review and assessment.

Have a wonderful summer and see you in a new season in September

If in the midst of frustration, you asked yourself any of these questions:

  • Why is a “popular” guide not giving me the branding solutions I’m looking for?
  • What is at the heart of a brand?
  • How important is the brand story to my brand?
  • Why are big companies trying to put on a personal “face”?
  • Do I need to control the narrative and build my personal brand?
  • How do I know what is “wrong” with my brand?

Then this episode is for you.

I had the privilege of having a conversation with Michelle Balaun, an international brand expert, where – with her fiery charisma – she took me on the journey of what it means to build a brand.

Michelle is making branding waves by recognizing there is no cookie-cutter answer to any branding question. Whether it is a large institution or a single entrepreneur, the approach needs a liaison to translate and re-communicate the brand.

Her experience has been in the fashion industry for over 3 decades and she’s worked with countries from the Artic Circle to Africa. Michelle is an American expat who lived in Europe for 15 years and has a very unique perspective on understanding branding with consideration of culture, community, and diversity.
