Let It Be Known
Olivier Egli and Carlos Basurto
As men, there is a lot we don’t share because we've been taught to behave "manly" and hold our emotions in. Despite the fact that TRUTH is the most powerful tool a man can have, we silence our truth, turning our insides raw. As a result, many of us are unwell. We engage in bad jobs, hurt ourselves and others, fall into addictions and perpetuate a twisted view on manhood.
It is this podcast's intention to help men navigate their way out of self-imposed silence and support their well-being by letting the truth be known.
Your hosts:
Olivier Egli and Carlos Basurto are serial entrepreneurs and business guides with the goal of speaking and walking in unabashed truth.

Are you constantly juggling between decisions made by the heart and those by the mind?
Well, Carlos and I are here to open up this Pandora's box of the mind-heart conflict. We uncover the implications of being too dependent on either emotions or logic, and how a balanced amalgamation of both is crucial for sound decision-making.
Do you trust your intuition? We share our thoughts on the all-important role of intuition, especially in decisions involving people. This episode unearths the three-cornered relationship between instinct, intelligence, and intuition in decision-making.
We challenge the oft-held belief that our education system is primarily intellect-centric, and lay emphasis on trusting our intuition. Drawing parallels from the success stories of giants like Apple, Amazon, and Elon Musk, we demonstrate how intuition has often been the driving force behind their pioneering decisions.
How much weightage do you give to emotions when deciding? Carlos and I broach the subject of emotional decision-making, debunking the stereotype that men are less emotional than women. We delve into the hazards of disregarding emotions in our decisions, and how our quest for happiness is intrinsically linked to our emotional state. Wrapping up, we provide insights into how you can reconnect with your inner truth, listen to your intuition, and make emotionally valid decisions, not just in personal life, but in the business world too. So tune in, and let's explore the universe within us!

Embracing Vulnerability: A Path to Restoring Trust
Let It Be Known
09/27/23 • 39 min
Are you ready to break the chains of self-doubt and rediscover trust within yourself?
Embark on a journey with us as we dig deep into the roots of self-trust, how it shapes our relationships with others and how a lack of it can drive our lives towards constant fear and suspicion. We discuss the troubling trend of distrust within the western male and how, by embracing vulnerability, we can start the transformative journey towards a culture of trust.
We believe that trust is the essence of life, taking inspiration from the boundless trust that newborn babies display. Unfortunately, as we grow, we often lose that innate sense of trust, largely due to societal conditioning around fear and lack. Join us as we delve into how we lose trust in ourselves, the profound impact of this on our ability to love and trust others, and how a scarcity mindset can further exacerbate this issue.
In the latter part of our conversation, we turn the spotlight on self-love and self-trust, crucial ingredients for living authentically. We discuss how fear and self-loathing can blind us from our own actions, leading to a lack of trust in ourselves. We argue that self-respect and self-love are the keys to rekindling trust and recognizing our unique abilities. As we conclude, we touch upon how childhood experiences and the role of religion shape our trust mould, and how breaking free from old stories can help us regain self-trust, paving the way towards a fulfilling life. Tune in for an enriching discussion that will change the way you perceive trust.
