As a parent of a neurodiverse child myself, I know how important communication is to sharing spaces with someone who may think or process things differently than what is usually seen as the norm.
Thanks to Alex Leech, she's here to share some tips on what has worked for herself , her clients and her own family when it comes to sharing spaces with neurodiverse individuals.
For over 20 years she has worked in the field of Health Sciences as a Regulated Health Professional and has spent countless hours reading, researching & studying the integral relationship between neuroscience, mental health, and how it applies to all aspects of life. She is a parent of 2 amazing autistic teens , each with multiple diagnoses and through their assessment process, discovered she too was neurodivergent.

Before we dive into future episodes, I wanted to answer one of my frequently asked questions, and that is, how did I become a professional organizer and why do I care about clutter?
Short answer is that you are not alone and I recognize that so many homeowners like you, were overwhelmed with the amount of items in their home and were stuck in making decisions on what and how to let go. As a result their clutter was preventing them to live the best version of themselves.
If this sounds familiar and you are ready to start clearing the clutter, join my 12 week online group program Clear the Clutter Academy that starts April 2023!

Today we are going to dive into the power of decluttering for your inner peace and personal growth!

But first, you may be wondering where I’ve been and why the podcast was on hiatus.

So, join me as I dive into how many of us struggle with clutter not only in our physical space but also in our thoughts, commitments, relationships and digital spaces. The value of slowing down in order to keep moving forward, the power of seeking support and having accountability to sustain momentum and the impact decluttering has on our personal well-being.

I think it’s fair to say that everyone struggles when it comes to motherhood or work or decluttering.

And while things can be difficult for most everyone, what if your struggles felt so much more significant than they should?

That’s what happened with today's guest. Emily struggled with things like indecision, time management and was ultimately diagnosed with ADHD and it was after that diagnosis that the things she struggled with made sense.

Today, I’m joined by Emily Weinberg. Emily works with adults who have or suspect they have ADHD to help educate them on what ADHD is and how it has shown up in their lives to help them become more aware of why things may have always seemed more challenging for them.

Emily helps them see themselves through the lens of ADHD so they can begin to shift the narrative they have created about themselves in order to figure out what they want, what support they need, and how they can move toward a life in which they show up intentionally and are able to do the things they want to be doing.

So, press play and listen in as Emily offers valuable insights into the experiences of individuals managing ADHD and organizational challenges within the context of motherhood, the importance of self-acceptance, seeking support, and understanding the impact of neurodiversity on personal and professional lives.

I was recently scrolling Instagram and saw a video that just didn’t sit right with me and it was the inspiration behind today’s episode of what to do and what not to do when decluttering your space.
