Les-Bi-Honest - #3 — The Hosts Get Sappy
play

02/28/20 • 30 min

Here we are — we are splendid.
Not being sponsored by Sparknotes is a disease and we want to get better soon. In this episode, we discuss goals we have for our podcast and cackle manically, though those things are largely unrelated. Encounter these feral English majors in the wild as they get confused about oceans, cancel cancel culture, and, honestly, get a little sappy there for a second and ruin my carefully crafted image.
Come and say hello on social media! You can find us on Twitter @lesbihonestpod, @lin_macmillan, @TarrayoZach, and @spicynigel; or on Instagram @lesbihonestpod. Thanks for listening! See you next time!

Les-Bi-Honest - #2 — Meet the Hosts, Part 2
play

02/14/20 • 34 min

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! If you're like me and all alone on this special holiday, go ahead and take a shot every time someone says "Listeners, if you could see my face right now." It happens often enough that you'll have drank away the pain in no time.
Things do get a little real for a minute there, so here's a content warning for discussions of death and ways to die. In this episode, James accepts that he looks like the physical manifestation of a Swedish arthouse film shot in black and white; Lin is a mysterious Scorpio with a fantastic valley girl accent that will forever stan K-pop girl group Loona (Stream So What!!); and Zach reveals that he does actually know a guy for pretty much anything you need, all from a very interesting art class in secondary school. Since the time of recording, not only has Zach gotten a Switch and has proceeded to beat Pokémon Shield with, indeed, his Sobble, but has also become naturalized and now holds dual citizenship here in Ireland! James has also recently come out as ace, and we all hope that every single aro/ace person has a great day of celebrating every kind of love out there today!

Les-Bi-Honest - #4 — Why Do We Try To Understand Numbers
play

03/13/20 • 36 min

Numbers. They vex and haunt me.
Eating out at Dakoi Oriental Café, in this episode we discuss numbers. You know, like all English majors do. Zach becomes annoyed at Lin and James from vulturing his bibimbap, Lin gets agitated trying to discuss today's topic, and James adventures into the satisfactory world of Filipino beef stew. We give our rankings of numbers from one to ten and by God do we get derailed.
Come and say hello on social media! You can find us on Twitter @lesbihonestpod, @lin_macmillan, @TarrayoZach, and @spicynigel; or on Instagram @lesbihonestpod. Thanks for listening! To fulfill the prophecy uttered at the end of this episode, we'll be taking a break for a little while as Corvid-19 has left each of us alone and adrift in our homes, becoming increasingly deranged...
............... very increasingly deranged.
Don't ask to look at my bedroom wall right now.

Les-Bi-Honest - # Pilot — Eating Out: Masa
play

05/15/20 • 29 min

I kNoW wHaT a ChErRy ToMaTo Is
An unreleased pilot episode for you guys to laugh at in these troubled times. In which James gets victimized for not being American, Zoey ignores her cohosts except for when we're talking about the MCU, and Lin's motherly instincts leap out... whenever they're not cussing out the others. Featuring our guest star: really good churros. Since the time of recording, Zoey has come out as a girl! We hope every trans guy, girl, and nonbinary friend are appreciated and supported, and we offer our love to you.
Come and say hello on social media! You can find us on Twitter @lesbihonestpod, @lin_macmillan, @TarrayoZach, and @spicynigel; or on Instagram @lesbihonestpod. Thanks for listening! We're working on making more content, but considering the fact that we're now eight time zones apart, episodes may be a little rough coming out. Stay safe, everyone.
